An unidentified 27-year-old youth from Korangi Crossing River and Hawks Bay near Maripur area Two days old bodies were found submerged in a drain near Football Chowk. Police shifted them to Jinnah and Civil Hospital. Both could not be identified.

The body of an unidentified 35-year-old man was found drowned in a drain near North Nazimabad Block L in Timor-Leste and was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Arshad son of Qadeer, 14, drowned in an underpass near Punjab Chowrangi in Clifton area.


The body of 14-year-old Khairullah son of Khalilullah was found drowned near Polo Ground in Frere area and was shifted to Jinnah Hospital by the police. The deceased was a resident of Hijrat Colony. According to Dr Sami Jamali, the family members of the deceased took the body without any action.


The drowned bodies were brought to Jinnah Hospital near Madina Blessing area of ​​Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The body of 21-year-old Timur son of Yaqub, a resident of the submerged area, was found in Manzoor Colony drain of Mahmoodabad area and was shifted to Jinnah Hospital by the residents of the area.


A 20-year-old unidentified youth died after falling into a drain near Moon Garden area of ​​Gulistan-e-Jauhar. His body was brought to Jinnah Hospital where the deceased could not be identified immediately. Her body was brought to Jinnah Hospital where the deceased was identified as 18-year-old Chanda daughter of Ramzan. According to police, the deceased was driving a water motor in the house when he was electrocuted. Rain water could not be extracted from several areas of Karachi yet.

Rain water has accumulated in Gulzar-e-Hijri, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Azizabad, Gharibabad, Liaqatabad, Orangi, Surjani Town and other areas which has caused severe distress to the citizens. Many citizens have gone to the homes of their relatives and kin. I have taken refuge.

The accumulation of two to two and a half feet of rainwater in the affected areas also severely affected the business of shopkeepers, many shopkeepers were unable to open their shops.


Meanwhile, the forecast of more rains in Karachi from August 30 to 31 has caused further distress to the citizens. Citizens blamed the Sindh government for the current situation in Karachi and said that the situation in Karachi is a proof of the incompetence of both the Sindh government and the federal government. In Scheme 33, several residential societies were submerged due to the influx of rain water. The residents of the area were confined to their homes.


Due to rain water, the main road and Ancholi Societies of Scheme 33, Quetta Town, Jamia Karachi Employees Society, State Bank Society, Gwalior Society, Madras Society, Muhammad Khab Goth and other residential societies were inundated and several feet of water accumulated. Residents were trapped in their homes and the sewerage system was badly damaged.


Due to the accumulation of water, the citizens faced difficulties in performing Friday prayers while the flow of traffic was also affected. The rainwater from Scheme 33 entered Jhangvi Road, Metroville and Gulzar Hijri in front of Madras Chowk and Gulshan-e-Kaniz Fatima Societies behind Karachi University.


Residents of the area said that the rainwater had started coming from Thursday night and the flow of water has accelerated further due to which the water level is constantly rising due to overflow of the dam. Aya, the dam water has been overflowing in the same way for the last 3 years.


Residents of the area said that so far no government representative or staff of the concerned agencies have reached for drainage, people are trying to draw water with their help.
