 ISLAMABAD, Sept 28 (APP): Pakistan Army Captain was martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists in South Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR).  Security forces began patrolling the area at night on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists.

 ISPR said that the incident took place yesterday when there was an exchange of fire between the terrorists and the patrolling party during a patrol in which 25-year-old Captain Abdullah Zafar from Kohat was martyred.  The area has been cordoned off for clearance operations.  It may be recalled that on September 13, security forces killed terrorist commander Ehsanullah Sande and three other terrorists during an operation near the district border of North and South Waziristan, the ISPR statement said.  Ehsanullah was killed along with three other militants in an undercover operation in Gharium area of ​​Shakto near the district border of North and South Waziristan.

 DG ISPR said that Ehsan Sande was the mastermind of several terrorist incidents. He said that the terrorist commander was also involved in planning and executing a terrorist operation in Shakto area recently.  , Where several young men and officers, including Lieutenant Nasir Shaheed and Captain Sabih Shaheed, were martyred.  On September 7, five terrorists, including wanted terrorist Wasim Zakaria, were killed and 10 others were arrested in a covert operation by security forces in Mir Ali area of ​​North Waziristan. A Pakistan Army spokesman said that Commander Wasim belonged to Mir Ali area.  Wasim was from Haider Khel and wanted terrorist Wasim was the mastermind of 30 different acts of terrorism from 2019 till now.

 According to ISPR, the terrorist Wasim Zakaria was directly involved in targeted killings in the area, martyrdom of government agencies including CSS officer Zubaidullah Dawar and attacks on security forces while also attacking Fok's convoy near Hasokhel.  The dead terrorist involved was the head of the arena group of unknown terrorist organization.  Earlier on August 31, three Pakistani soldiers were martyred during a search operation in South Waziristan. According to a statement issued by ISPR, terrorists opened fire on security forces during a search operation in South Waziristan.  As a result, Subedar Nadeem, soldier Saleem and Lance Naik were martyred. According to ISPR, 4 youths were also injured in the firing.
