Issued notices to Home Ministry, DG FIA and other parties on Hia Richie's case and sought reply.

  ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has stayed the deportation of American blogger Cynthia Richie. According to details, Cynthia Richie, an American woman, had challenged the Interior Ministry's notification not to extend her visa.  On Saturday, Cynthia Richie had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court through lawyer Imran Feroze.  Cynthia de Ritchie said that despite providing visa-related documents, the Interior Ministry rejected the extension.

 ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) today stayed the execution of Cynthia de Richie, a US citizen, on the orders of the Interior Ministry. Chief Justice Islamabad Athar Minallah directed the Interior Ministry to stop Cynthia de Reach from being deported.  Has issued notices to the Home Ministry, DG FIA and other parties on the case of Cynthia Richie seeking a response.

 (Continued It is to be noted that Cynthia de Richie had stated in the petition that the Ministry of Home Affairs did not hear nor did it mention the reasons in its order. It is my legal right to be heard before issuing an order against me. Cynthia Richie said change of sponsor  Another application for work / business visa was made because of Corona. No decision was taken on my new application. He said that the Home Ministry told the High Court that he was neither involved in anti-state nor illegal activities.  Cases have been filed in Pakistan. Cases are also pending against me.

 The petition said that the non-issuance of visa extension would create an impression on the international community. The Interior Ministry is deliberately preventing the prosecution of the case. The Interior Ministry did not meet the legal requirements while issuing the order.  The September 2 order should be quashed, the Interior Ministry should be ordered to extend the work visa. The Home Secretary and the DG FIA have been made parties in the petition.
