 According to Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar, during the meetings, Zubair Umar discussed the cases and political issues of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.  The army should be kept away from these matters.  According to details, Major General Babar Iftikhar, Chief of Public Relations of Pakistan Army, while talking to a program of a private TV channel, has made a big revelation.

 Referring to the meeting between PML-N leader Zubair Umar and Army Chief, the Army spokesman said that during the meetings, Zubair Umar discussed the cases of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz and political issues.

 In this regard, the Army Chief clarified that political matters are related to Parliament and legal matters are related to the judiciary of Pakistan.  The Army Chief asked the PML-N leader to resolve political issues in Parliament and keep the Army away from political issues.

 While the solution of legal issues is also in the courts.  According to DG ISPR, former Sindh Governor Zubair Umar met Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa twice regarding PML-N leaders Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.  The first meeting took place in the last week of August and the second on September 7.  The meetings between Zubair Omar and Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa were also attended by DG ISI General Faiz.

 It may be recalled that a statement issued by Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday claimed that no close person of Nawaz Sharif had met the Army Chief.  Omar has confirmed his meetings with General Qamar Bajwa.  Regarding all these issues, senior journalist Kashif Abbasi said that these meetings were actually held on the instructions of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.
